Sharing Christ in the Midst of Tragedy
The Christian Club, Grizzlies for God at Los Osos High School, is a club that has a Christ-like vision and heart for their campus. The needs on the high school campus are great, and with recent student suicides, the entire campus was feeling heartbroken for the tragic loss. Hannah and Isabella, two of the Club Leaders of the Christian Club, felt that the time we have here on this earth is so precious, and every day is an opportunity to share the hope of the gospel with others. This belief fueled the urgency for every heart on the leadership team of the Christian Club to reach out to students on campus.
The gods of comfort, money, sensuality, power, and status abound in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles area is a massive mission field enamored with worldly narratives that impinge upon students and attempt to shape them after their own likeness. The population of young people in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties is over 4 million. Within the Los Angeles Unified School District alone, the largest school district in the state (and second largest in the nation), there are nearly half a million students enrolled. This is a field ripe for harvest, especially among students who are hungry for more than what this world tries to offer them. Will you join us on our mission to proclaim the gospel to the next generation, till every student has heard?
