For parents

Your student wants
to share Jesus.
Here's how we help.

What your student will do

A simple, structured process

When your student signs up, here’s exactly what happens, no surprises, no hidden commitments.

1

They fill out
a short form

Your student signs up to “Reach Their School” through a simple online form so our team can learn about them.

2

They receive a
free starter kit

A physical kit is shipped to your home, includes a guidebook, Gospel resources, and everything they need to get started.

3

They're paired
with a coach

A coach, either through your church or our staff, meets with your student regularly and walks them through the process.

4

They start the
Gospel Challenges

Five proven challenges that build their boldness and give them a clear, practical way to share the Gospel on campus.

Safe and Supported

What you need to know as a parent

We take your trust seriously. Here’s how we make sure your student is supported, protected, and set up to succeed.

It's 100% legal

Students in the U.S. have clear legal rights to share their faith on campus. We provide resources so your student knows exactly what they can do, with confidence.

They're never alone

Every student is paired with a coach who meets with them regularly. Your student always has an adult walking alongside them.

Everything is free

The starter kit, the app, the coaching, the resources, all free. There are no hidden costs, fees, or subscriptions.

We're a trusted nonprofit

Decision Point is ECFA accredited, audited annually, and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We’ve been doing this since 2002.

Being a Decision Point Student Leader is one of the most meaningful things your student can be part of in high school. It’s a chance for them to grow in their faith, step into leadership, and see God use them to impact their friends and classmates with the gospel. It is also a real commitment. On average, Student Leaders invest about 3–4 hours each week:

  • 1 hour with their coach
  • 1–2 hours preparing for their weekly club meeting
  • 30 minutes leading the meeting
  • 1+ hours preparing for outreach events

Some weeks will be lighter and some heavier, especially during big outreach efforts. If your student is leading on their own, the responsibility is greater; if they have a team, they can share the load. We’ve found that students who make this a priority—even when it means saying no to other activities—experience incredible growth in their walk with Christ and become catalysts for real change at their school.

Decision Point is supported by donations from people all over the world so that we can provide Student Leaders with exclusive training content and access to personalized coaching calls with our trained staff, all at no cost to the students or their families. Check out this video to learn more about the coaching process. In order to make a donation to help these resources and training materials remain free for students across the nation, see this page of giving options.

Decision Point staff and volunteers are screened to ensure they have a passion for the gospel and a desire to equip the next generation of evangelists. All our coaches are background checked, and they go through training to ensure they are effective coaches that build up young believers. We practice public communication and have protocols to ensure that students and coaches aren’t alone. We know that ministry is most effective in community so our coaching is aimed at strengthening the relationships between Student Leaders and their pastors and parents and club advisors.
